The Advanced Points Manager (APM) allows you to connect to any OLEDB/ODBC database, TXT/CSV (comma/tab separated file), ESRI SHP file, Geography Markup GML file, Keyhole Markup KML file or GPS Exchange Format file (GPX) and to draw points/blocks from any of those data sources.
SHP – ESRI shape file.
GPX – GPS exchange format (XML format file to interchange GPS data).
KML – Keyhole Markup Language (XML format file developed for geographic annotation and visualization for use with Google Earth).
GML – The Geography Markup Language (XML grammar defined by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) to express geographical features).
TXT, CSV - or any other file where data are aligned in columns
OLEDB/ODBC - any OLE DB compliant database
To import limited set of points, specify spatial criteria.
Analyse data source and draw convex hull and envelope polygon.
Specify a source datum and select a destination datum to perform datum transformation automatically. (please visit http://www.spatialreference.org/,http://www.epsg-registry.org/ or http://www.epsg.org/ to read more about datum transformation)
